Google I/O 2017, an annual conference organized by Google, which took place May 17-19 in Mountain View, as usual, heated up the atmosphere in the mobile, web, and enterprise community. Some of the changes were expected and waited out, and some were rather surprising. Discussing all of them would take ages, so let us go through some of the most interesting (from our point of view) news announced during the conference.
What is DevDay anyways?
DevDay, or Developer Day, is a special kind of work day when developers do not work on their usual projects and are allowed to work on whatever they like. The idea of DevDays is pretty common: the world’s most popular email service, Gmail, was born as a DevDay project at Google office!
The most popular internet search engine – Google celebrates the 18th birthday today. It’s hard to imagine modern Internet without Google. This true icon of the IT industry. There is hardly a person in the world who regularly use the Internet and do not hear about the best search engine in history, system maps and GPS services, translator, analysis tools, and content management, e-mail, or hundreds of other services offered by the company. Our industry is growing rapidly and we can not settle for what we do only at work, cause you will be at the end of the race. Today one framework is popular, but in six months or a year will be popular completely different one. You should try to keep track of such a new things and try to write something in them to become familiar with their general capabilities.
The most important event of the year is coming. Just like every May, Google will be celebrating and featuring new technologies from the web, mobile, enterprise solutions and open technologies. This year event will take place on 18-20th May in Mountain View.
We are very proud that our city – Krakow became an interesting place for many prestige conferences, meetups and workshops. We would like to present you the last one – called soap!, which is the best content conference in Eastern and Central Europe. We couldn’t miss such an event!
We had a busy week. According to the plans, three important events have been held in two days. There was Soap! conference where we could meet interesting people and listen to the lectures. This event was organized in Hub:Raum in Cracow. 2 days (Thursday & Friday) we were tracking the great event for all mobile applications geeks – Mobiconf. The last one was Meetup organized by Innovation Nest.
