Last week we have visited Kielnarowa, a small village nearby Rzeszów. Between meadows and forest, in Centre for Tourism and Recreation WSISiZ InternetBeta conference was held. We arrived on Wednesday 10th of September in early morning, just in time to watch the first speech. This was unique time when representatives of various fields and industries related to the Internet and new technologies meet in one place to discuss many important issues concerning their jobs and conducted projects. It is really amazing that there is so many people to whom the web is the natural environment to work.
The InternetBeta Conference is a kind of special bridge between marketers, investors, interactive and advertising agencies, application developers and startups.
People come there for the great content of the speeches and also to establish new contacts and in a good atmosphere. It is clear that integration is an important element of this conference. Evening parties after all days of speecjes are unique, and new friendships are made during those meetings.
InternetBeta inspires, helps broaden horizons and provide a meeting place for interesting people.
This year we could meet 87 lecturers. Among them we could here speech of Paweł Tkaczyk that open InternetBeta Conference. Paweł Sala from Freshmail told about importance of big data: “Big data – big problem or big chance” and Roman Lodziński was talking many ways of working on the online business. Yuri Drabent learnt how to use social media channels to handle unusual campagnies even if we think it is not a good idea. On the other hand it is really good that some of the lecturers provided their speech on slideshare.net, but it is pitty that the speeches weren’t recorded. Many would like to get back to them.
InternetBeta 2014 is behind us. Now, we are wating until next year. We hope, that it will be also exciting, full of knowledge and innovation conference!
Connection between television and Internet is nothing special today. We can choose from the offer of many digital media players. One of them is Chromecast, device powered by Google.
It is a media streaming adapter, that turns HDMI-equipped television into an app-driven smart TV. It works very easy with smartphones, tablets (both iOS, Android) and laptops. It seems that this is really inexpensive Google’s answer for Apple TV.
The main advantage is its size. Chromecast looks a little bit as a bigger pendrive. It is 72 mm long. The other one is its price. You can buy it spending just £30 that makes it really competitive for Apple device.
Chromecast plugs directly into TV, and connects to the Wi-Fi network.
User chooses what to watch on another device (smartphone, tablet or laptop), and then through Chromecast displays it directly on TV. it has no real interface of its own, that means another device has to manage what to stream.
To use this small digital media player, it is necessary to install the app Chromecast on the device that is the kind of remote. The integration is smooth across both the iOS and Android system. Additionally, there is a possibility to download another app – Photowall that allows to watch photo galleries.
Powered by Google Chromecast is for sure an unusual device. It is available for purchase online in the US since last year (2013). In March 2014 Google released it to 11 new markets outside of the US.

Last days were very productive in our office. We don’t have on our minds only the number of new projects and work, but also our free time, which we decided to spend together. We played a small football tournament at our soccer table. Many of us trains every day how to score the goal successfully. Some of our Ruby on Rails developers had the good moment to show how great competitors they are!
Before we have started the game we settled the rules. We played in two groups A and B. There were five teams in each group.
The game has started at 5 PM. We had all evening to spend it together. There were some suggestions how to code the game in ruby to make it easier to win, but at last we have chosen the traditional way!
To make the players stronger we ordered many kinds of very good pizza! The feast and the draw for the first Railwaymen Cup has opened the event.
After three hours of exciting moments, connected sometimes with music, we met the winners: Tomek, Ruby on Rails developer and Lukasz, iOS developer, won all games and whole tournament.
We hope that edition 1.0 was the first Railwaymen event, where Ruby on Rails, iOS and Android developers meet together to make one big team in fair play games.

It gives them vitality they need to finish writing the code. The location they choose for the vacation are different and depends on the programmer’s personality.
